Service and Maintenance Contract Q&A

Save up to 60% on Service Calls with a CSI Service & Maintenance Contract

A CSI Service & Maintenance Contract provides regularly scheduled service visits which are billed at a lower rate and are designed to extend core cutter life, ensure proper setup and training, and reduce costs.

Why should I Buy a CSI Service & Maintenance Contract?

At CSI, our staff of experienced mechanical/electrical service technicians has a unique ability to interact with operators, maintenance staff, and supervisors.  It allows them to “speak the same language” and work together to optimize your core cutter.  Additional benefits are:

  1. Each visit is at a predetermined, fixed price.  No extra charges for travel expenses, travel delays, etc.
  2. Minimum of two (2) yearly visits are required. We recommend at least 3 to 4 to ensure your core cutter is running at its optimal performance.
  3. Normally we are in a given area as often as monthly, so there are more opportunities for you to schedule a service visit.

What do you do during the visit?

First, prior to our arrival, we have a brief teleconference with the department manager or supervisor and review the history of the cutter, discuss known replacement parts that will be needed on our visit, and make sure they are purchased ahead of time.  We also discuss goals for core cutter optimization and training.  Then we do the following:

  • Perform a multipoint visual inspection of the machine.
  • Discuss with the operators any items that need to be addressed and repaired.
  • Adjust, and repair any items or obvious issues.
  • Perform a detailed safety inspection to ensure all factory safety items are installed and   working correctly.
  • Assist in training of any operators, maintenance technicians, or supervisors who are in need. (maximum of 60mins)
  • Clean up work area.
  • Provide a complete and detailed service report, along with photos of work performed, recommendations for future service work or further optimization.

I don’t have a CSI core cutter, do you service other makes?

Absolutely!  We routinely service, and provide spare parts for all makes of core cutters. We can develop a Service & Maintenance Contract for you as well.
